Girls Education Program

We strongly aligned with the Right to Education Act. Pragati Grameen Vikas Sanstha is committed to the government’s vision to improve access to education for children, especially young girls. Pragati Grameen Vikas Sanstha tries to develop integrated approaches that include academic support to schools, capacity building of community members to monitor quality of public facilities and strengthening of governance structures.

From the establishment of PGVS, we are doing continued support in education through various projects or activities. The organization is presently working in 30 villages of Bhimpur block at Betul District in Madhya Pradesh.When the organization started its work in 30 villages of Bhimpur block, not a single girl had studied more than middle school. Due to the continuous efforts of the Pragati Grameen Vikas Sanstha so far 152 girls not only complete their middle school education but also some of them also successfully completed their higher secondary school education in 2017 and their parents are willing to continue their education and 211 girls have been linked to their education.

Achievements :-

It was a big achievement in this area that 152 girls completed their higher secondary school certificate, before this program not a single girl completed their higher secondary school from these villages. In this year, 92 girls are enrolling in class 11th and 12th.
Exposure Visit changed children's mindset and they are thinking to do the job with different professionals and some of them got jobs.
Life Skill Education plays a big role in girls' life, through these most girls take their self-decision, represents their thought in Baal Panchayat or other community platforms.
Young people especially girls have been aware through education. Girls have cared about their health and hygiene issues.
One of the big impacts is that girls have been taken their own decision in their life like enrolling in higher education, etc.
Career counseling and seminars on entrepreneurship development.Students especially girls have known about business and market, they did business in an impressive way.
Enhanced the capacities of students’ parents and provide them a motivating environment for their children education.
Parents can approach teachers at school and organize parent teacher meetings to discuss student performance and teaching-learning improvement.
Parents are engaging in children's studies & provide them time for self-study at home.
Developed community learning centre in 5 villages where youth, community members actively engaged in learning sharing process.
